Job Vacancy:

Accountant

Our client, a medium commercial enterprise with business interests in Hotels, Rental premises (Offices & Residential) and Supermarkets spread in Nairobi, Kiambu, Thika and Githunguri, wishes to recruit a competent individual for the above position.

Responsibilities

Maintain the relevant books of accounts

Capture data into the accounting package

Prepare, verify and process invoices
Debt collection

Receipt and bank income from all revenue streams,maintain the Cash book and reconcile bank accounts

Prepare financials statements within the set deadlines

Process payroll and file relevant statutory returns

Implement recommendations by the external auditors

Maintain all accounting records

Filling income tax and VAT returns

Prepare and submit reports as required by management from time to time

Requirements

Degree in business related areas from a recognized University and CPA finalist.

At least 3 years’ experience of accounting in a busy commercial environment

Experience in Finance and Accounts in a busy commercial environment

Working knowledge of at least one accounting software.
