We are currently searching for a Network Administrator to join our team in Dar es Salaam. Responsibilities
Reports to the Site Manager
Possesses and demonstrates experience both with airport operations and the specific airport location
Completes and/or coordinates assigned technical work
Performs the majority of the tasks required when new devices and services are being introduced to the site. These tasks can include the creation of service manuals for other technicians and the
development of first-level preventive and corrective maintenance plans
Performs Level 2 support duties
Maintains documentation, layouts and centralized records
Effectively communicate with third parties such as partners and customers regarding technical issues and customer service inquiries, both orally and in writing
Diagnose and troubleshoot wireless, TOIP, security, switching and other various network-related issues reported by the customer
Own each customer case from initial creation to resolution
Collaborate with other support team members to fix network outages, mis-configurations and complex networking issues on customers' devices
Read and analyse packet captures using Wireshark
Work with engineering and management to diagnose and resolve critical, escalated issues
Use acquired knowledge to suggest, edit, and write in-depth Knowledge Base articles
Handles configuration issues, trouble-shooting and software installations. Works with engineers and/or support technicians on software upgrades, troubleshooting, and configuration changes.
Works with airline technical contacts on issue related to system configuration and troubleshooting of software system interfaces
Typically is qualified at levels equal to or above MCSE or CCNA and has extensive experience in network troubleshooting, design and management experience
