DetailsThe Provost is the Chief Academic, Administrative, and Accounting Officer of the College.
He is authorized to exercise general control over both Staff and Students of the College, subject to the law establishing the College and under the general supervision of the Governing Council.
Qualities and Qualifications
The candidate for the post of a Provost is expected to possess the following academic qualifications and personal qualities:
Must possess a minimum of Master’s degree and be a specialist in Public Health or other related fields (Doctorate degree is an added advantage).
Possess relevant Health-related discipline with at least 15 years cognate experience in Teaching, Research, and Higher Institution Administration.
Must be a Chief Lecturer with not less than five(5) years experience on that cadre in a College, Polytechnic or an Associate Professor in a University.
Must not be more than Sixty (60) years of age at the time of assumption of Office.
Must have not less than ten (10) Publications in peer-reviewed Health related journals as well as presentation of papers at Conferences, Seminars or Workshops.
Must be of high repute, respected, competent, with proven integrity.
Must provide evidence of membership of reputable professional body in Nigeria.
Must be able to attract Research Grants and development facilities to the College.
Must be a fair-minded and dynamic individual with an impeccable reputation.
Must be morally sound and free from financial embarrassment
Must be one who does not pursue racial, ethnic, gender, political, religious or other sectional interest.
Must have a medical certificate of fitness from a Government Hospital.
Must be proficient in information and Communication Technology (ICT).
Terms of Appointment and Conditions of service
The appointment is for a single term of five (5) years - Non-renewable.
The salary is consolidated and the appointee shall enjoy other benefits of Office as may be approved from time to time by the Governing Council.

The salary attached to the position is consolidated Tertiary Educational Institutions salary structure.
