CCBA has an extensive footprint in Africa, employing approximately 16 000 employees in Africa, and approximately 7 000 employees in South Africa.
Key Purpose Statement
Providing administrative support to ensure timeous and accurate Cash Book payments and processing
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Petty Cash Administration
Ensure accurate petty cash accounting
Safe guard the cash of the company
Ensure all depot have sufficient floats
The monthly recons does not have outstanding vouchers not paid
No shortages on the petty cash reconciliations
Supervision of cashiers shorts and overs
Accurate and timely accounting of petty cash vouchers
Management of cashiers working hours, issues, keys, etc.
Load EFT payments
Capture EFT proposals from creditors
Timely uploads of EFT proposals
Accurate loading of manual payments VAT, etc.
Transactional processing and general ledger administration
Monthly general ledger reconciliations
Reallocation journal entries.
Clearing of control accounts
Prepare monthly recons within 7 days after month end.
No items older than one month on the GL reconciliations.
Bank Reconciliations signed off and reviewed by the Treasury and Tax Accountant.
Claims management
Claim back WP Transport claims.
Clear intercompany debtors control account 164000 by claiming the expenses.
Check up on the PO's with GRV but no IR ME2L
Ensure
that there is no items in account 164000 older than two months.
Bank clearing
Ensure the bank GL accounts are clean.
No open items older than one month.
Timely clearing of open items.
Following up of queries from Bank, debtors and drivers.
Maintenance of Quality Control
Maintain compliance to TCCQS System
100% compliance to internal and external audits maintained.
All work instructions and procedures are maintained as current.
Deviations are identified, reported and acted within agreed timeframes or as they occur.
Travel advance management
Manage travel advances and claims.
Travel claims are settled within 48 hours upon return
All claims submitted is valid and in line with the policy
Accurate posting of the journals to the income statement
Clearing of the travel advance account 187800
All the supportive documentation filed.
Skills, Experience & Education
Qualifications
Minimum requirement: Diploma in Finance
Added advantage: BCom degree.
Experience
2 years’ experience within a Finance Function
