Primary Function

Responsible for the overall management of QHSE department. .

Responsibilities

• Establish the quality assurance and quality control system.

• Develop QHSE management System of the Company.

• Responsible for the management for HSE, quality assurance and quality control, ensuring compliance with Uganda QHSE laws and regulations.

• Coordinate third party verification of project design and construction documents, responsible for QHSE permitting by interfacing the government departments.

• Responsible for contractor QHSE management, from contractor QHSE prequalification, to bidding document preparation, to reviewing QHSE system and processes of the contractors.

• Responsible for regular QHSE inspections and audits of work sites to ensure the safety of people and facilities.

• Responsible for QHSE risk management by identification and control of major risks that are present in oil and gas E&P activities.

• Other duties assigned by Management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Safety engineering, Petroleum & chemical engineering or related disciplines.

• At least 12 years' related working experience including 8 years' experience in Oil & Gas industry and 5 in Management position.

Knowledge

• Extensive knowledge of QHSE.

• Extensive knowledge of oil and gas Exploration & Production operations.

• Extensive knowledge of process and technology of HSE management.

• Extensive knowledge of Chinese and international QHSE laws, regulations and standards.
