Primary Function
• Representative of drilling and completion project at wellsite.
• Supervision of drilling operations as per policy of Company, drilling program and contracts.
• Team leader of supervisors and trainees at site during drilling phase.
• Responsible for organizing and coordinating service companies, G&G, Drilling Support group and Government alignment to achieve operational target. .
Responsibilities
• The first responsible person" of the wellsite during the drilling operation phase.
• Monitor QHSE, progress and drilling cost at wellsite. Handle emergencies as the first priority, and then report to the Head of Drilling operations as soon as possible
• Review the detailed drilling program and operating procedures such as cementing/liner hanger running and setting/fishing.
• Supervise Contractors in the execution of all drilling and associated programs, ensuring that all objectives are met in a safe and efficient manner and in keeping with all regulatory requirements.
• Job risk assessment and risk mitigation implementation.
• Liaise and report directly to the Drilling Operations Manager with a view to keeping them fully abreast of current drilling and associated activity and to make him aware of any condition which may require certain operating conditions or priority setting.Report emergency as per policy of company.
• Organize operation meetings on site and issue operation instructions.
• Direct and witness critical operation in position.
• Implement Weekly safety tour and follow with safety meeting.
• Supervise the maintenance work of drilling related equipment, in accordance with procedures, to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Materials and service plan verification as per the drilling program and operation progress.
• Personnel and materials sign in and sign out.
• Verify and sign Contractor services tickets.
• Verify the equipment, personal qualification, drilling tools and material of contractor at site.
• Implement routine safety drills, BOP tests and keep the record.
• Coordinate the collection of all data to be transmitted back to the base office, and to ensure the correctness, content and quality of such data.
• Responsible for the drilling reports. Maintain all well files in a public folder or for emailing information for sharing among drilling group.
• Summarize the lessons learnt for each operation stage (each hole section).
• To be able to suggest and discuss any changes which may be required to the program with a view to improvement. To take prompt action, in the event of an emergency within the drilling package, to safeguard life and minimize damage to properties and any detrimental effect on the environment.
• To evaluate and report on the performance of service contractors to safeguard the technical and commercial interests of the company. Review post well" reports.
• To execute thoroughly, any incident investigation, analysis and follow up in order to prevent recurrence.
• Any task assigned by Supervisor.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree or above in Petroleum engineering, drilling and completion or the related.
• At least 8 years' drilling related working experience.
Knowledge
• Extensive knowledge of Oil and Gas Exploration & Production.
• Knowledge of QHSE policy and reporting procedure.
• Extensive experience and knowledge of drilling engineering,
• Knowledge of reservoir and geology.
