Clinton Health Access Initiative NGO Senior Associate, Integrated Child Health Jobs in UgandaResponsibilitiesProvide ongoing technical assistance to program teams in the ICH unit to deliver analytical outputs to a very high standard, which can be used as the evidence base for advocacy, engagement and resource mobilization. Outputs/Deliverables will be based on specified program needs and agreed upon on an ongoing basis.
Provide technical assistance to the MOH and NMS to follow up ICCM integration into the national supply chain with focus on provision of technical guidance on ICCM distribution plans, quantification metrics for VHT kits and sharing of specified information and trends with the ICCM Technical Working Group
Provide technical assistance to the MOH and NMS to follow up EM Kit planning processes, EM Kit fulfillment and uptake of recommendations by health facilities and develop information briefs for sharing with NMS & MOH Pharmacy Division
Monitor volumes of priority essential medicines distributed in the public and private sectors by analyzing issues and stock status data from NMS and JMS and providing defined metrics and trends in reports generated on a periodic basis to inform ongoing performance improvement
Support ad hoc requests (which are aligned with the objectives of the ICH program) for technical support by NMS and JMS to address improvements in operational efficiency such as tool development, database development and data use
Provide technical support to the MOH to design and implement a regional oxygen distribution pilot program in collaboration with a selected regional referral hospital, including development of a generic quantification model for regional distribution of oxygen
Work with the CHAI global team, local distributors and the MOH to support global market shaping activities to ensure sufficient availability of oxygen cylinders, pulse oximeters and related equipment in higher level facilities
As and when required, support ICH business development initiatives and business case development through extraction of information from existing databases and analysis of data. Identify funding opportunities and support the government in preparing the required business cases and funding applications.
Support engagement and representation activities including participation in designated technical working group and technical committee meetings at the national level as specified by supervisor
Any other duties as may be required
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, plus at least 2 years relevant work experience in a demanding results driven environment
First-hand experience in at least one of the following areas: supply chain, project management, business consulting or strategic planning
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Exceptional project management skills, high level of organization and good attention to detail
Exceptional analytical (qualitative and quantitative) and communication (written and verbal) skills
Ability to work independently, self-motivate and propose and implement new initiatives
Ability to think strategically, handle ambiguity, and problem solve in a fast-paced, limited-structure, multicultural environment
Public Health Experience in developing countries
Ability to be effective in high-pressure situations, to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and set priorities
Ability to absorb and synthesize a broad range of information

Responsibilities
Compile and
analyze country level population and indicator performance data for HIV care and treatment services and related program activities to facilitate data driven decision making for the Ministry of Health STD/AIDS Control Program’s initiatives
Develop and refine information management tools/databases
Support the Monitoring & Evaluation aspects of research protocol and proposal development
Conduct desk research and literature reviews where needed, design tools and dashboards to collect, organize and analyze quantitative and qualitative research data and synthesize findings from available research data sets
Make presentations as needed on subjects related to the team’s work
Supervise data collection and quality assurance
Supervise and mentor program analyst
Any other responsibilities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in public health/epidemiology or a related technical field, plus at least 3 years’ work experience
Advanced proficiency in computer packages such as MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint as well as statistical packages such as STATA
Excellent analytical (qualitative and quantitative) and communication (written and verbal) skills
Practical project management experience

Clinton Health Access Initiative NGO Coordinator, Diagnostic Networks Jobs in Uganda
The Coordinator Diagnostics and Technologies Systems will provide programmatic support to Ministry of Health for implementation of health laboratory diagnostics including HIV, TB, Hepatitis and other infectious diseases.
Responsibilities
Support Ministry of Health build capacity to perform technical evaluations to inform regulatory approvals
Conduct, assist with analysis and writing of evaluation reports of operational pilots to demonstrate the cost effectiveness and impact of new products on patient outcomes
Develop and share deployment models and strategies for how to maximize the impact of new diagnostics
Support Ministry of Health in the development of diagnostic policies, national implementation plans and the creation of operational systems to support the wide-scale implementation of new diagnostic products, such as training, quality assurance, and data management
Work with CHAI country teams, governments, and partners to identify funding for increased investment in new diagnostic products
Design and implement monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems to measure the impact of diagnostic services and assess progress against project goals
Support Ministry of Health to implement and effectively scale up access to critical molecular tests including Viral Load and Early Infant Diagnosis
Work with and provide technical assistance to the MOH programs to utilize diagnostic data across the board to bridge the laboratory-clinical interface gap towards improving patient outcomes
Support MOH (Uganda National Health Laboratory Services, AIDS Control Program, National Tuberculosis and Leprosy Program and other program) assessment visits, trainings, supervision and mentoring at selected facilities and utilize data collected to determine access to and effectiveness of diagnostic services and identify any remaining bottlenecks to optimal service delivery
Support and meet CHAI Uganda internal reporting requirements
Contribute to the development and design of CHAI’s HIV strategy in Uganda and globally, and perform any other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, statistics or equivalent, Public Health, or Medical Scienes
Minimum 2 years of professional experience
Experience in collecting, reviewing, analyzing and validating data
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Basic analytical (qualitative and quantitative) and communication (written and verbal) skills
