Civil Engineering Company Road Construction Engineer Jobs

A Roads Construction Engineer will handle the management of roads projects.

Responsibilities

Leading technical delivery of civil engineering projects / multitude of tasks in roads construction.

Completing analytically an overview, appraisals and recommendations of road projects.

Overseeing completion of planning, budget, site establishment and designs documentation

Establishing and developing quarries, appropriate equipment/machinery and the disposal sites

Participating with the recruitment and acquisitions/ ordering teams.

Hiring and supervision workers, developing staff, technical training and mentoring.

Managing the construction schedule, targets, payment certificates and resolving matters arising

Inspecting and reviewing the construction project regularly in conformity with safety aspect.

Allocating use of the available resources for the project.

Preparing projects reports to management and clients regularly

Maintaining and developing professional relationship with clients for future repeat business.

Presenting to clients and key stakeholders in a professional and responsive manner.

Adherence to workplace health and safety policy.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Roads/Highway Engineering option.

At least 8 years' experience while in-charge of roads construction

Must have managed a large scale road construction project to completion

Competent in construction related computer softwares.

Must have unquestionable integrity, excellent communication and report writing skills.

The Structural Engineer will participate in projects design and management to completion.

Responsibilities:-

Majoring in all aspects of structural engineering including input into multi-disciplinary projects.

Complete overview of a proposed project in determining various parameters.

Conduct regular site inspections.

Staying abreast of industry developments and changes as regards standards.

Co-ordinating and reporting regular review of detailed budget of the structural engineering activities

Reviewing the structural engineering designs and drawings to projects on a regular basis.

Participating in the site meetings.

Presenting information professionallyto key stake holders.

Adherence to workplace health and safety policy.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structures Engineering option.

At least 5 years' experience in Structural Engineering with a Consultancy Engineering Firm.

Knowledge and understanding of

the principles of safety design.

Competent in structural engineering computer software.

Excellent in communication and report writing skills.

Requirements

B.A Building Economics

Above 8 years' experience in infrastructure projects.

Professional Qualification accredited by the IQSK

Conversant with contract documents with some emphases on roads projects.

Capable of preparing projects BOOs, Budgets, IPC, Financial appraisals, insurance replacement estimates, final account and claims.

Managing projects construction finances and activities as efficiently as possible within the set time frame and budget.

Resolving disputes within contracting parties

Knowledge of computer software that includes MS Office & Win QS

Must have unquestionable integrity, excellent communication, team player and report-writing skills.
