Christian Aid Project Officer CASE-OVC Job Vacancies in Kenya
Location: Machakos
Location: Meru
Location: Nakuru
Specifically the officer will be required to:Ensure quality delivery of the studies and baselines during the inception phase of the CASE OVC project.
Give guidance to the team regarding the operationalization of criteria for selection and engagement of the relevant partners key to delivery of this pillar including the PS actors.
Implement a market led value chain project and enteprises that will enhance improved livelihoods, access to incomes and other basic services for the OVC households.
Promote approaches and systems for enhancing capacities of OVC and their households and providing relevant horizontal and vertical linkages beyond the project scope.
Strengthening OVC organised groups and institutions by developing their capacity and engage in formation and support of enterprise groups.
Engage other stakeholders such as government and private sector to establish partnership with OVC beneficiary enterprise groups to enhance access to markets, finanance and other essential services for economic development, including policy influence.
Develop OVC tailored commercial models to support commercialization of services and strengthen some of them as service providers through skills development.
Key Outcomes:
Quality OVC project delivered in a timely manner, within budget and in line with agreed aims
Strong portfolio of partners and other stakeholders able to effectively deliver the project
Compliance with financial policies and procedures including budget-variances, reporting requirements and contribution made to other team members in the development and implementation of partner capacity building and training.
Thought leadership through operational research, evidence based communication products, conferences, meetings, presentations at thematic conferences, side events at development conferences among others.
Grant proposals based on strong project designs, planning and evaluation procedures using Christian Aid’s internal systems.
Decisions on programme work in the country informed by Christian Aid’s strategic focus areas.
Strong linkages between partner work and advocacy, communications and fundraising.
About you
You will work within the International Programmes family and the wider Programme management remit and you will be based in Meru and your key role is providing support to the CASE OVC project to ensure quality and excellence in project and budget management that ensures grants to partners are implemented as planned, within budget, timelines and deliver intended outputs and impact.
You are responsible for ensuring local implementing partners are delivering on their mandate for the project.

Key outcomes:
Office communications: telephone calls, emails and correspondence dealt with efficiently
Effective administrative and logistical support provided to the Kenya office including meeting room management, travel bookings, facilitation of meeting among others..
Accurate and up-to-date contact details, information and database records and other reports maintained on the Intranet site
Petty cash management and book keeping Front office reception services management.
Procurement and management of services such as telephone bills, kitchen supplies, stationery, among others.
Maintenance of the resource centre, archive database, stationery stores and inventories.
Effective support on ad-hoc projects such as conferences and workshops and cross departmental activities.
About you
You will be based in Machakos and you will work within the Finance and Operations role family and your role is key to driving effective systems and processes that enable the workgroup to meet its financial and operational objectives. You will play a critical role in supporting and facilitation of the programme, the regional staff by providing logistical, procurements and Front office services.
