About the RoleProvision of technical support to the SRH Gender Project. This role will be responsible for ensuring robust project planning and management support across the project management cycle. This will include effective budget management that ensures effective disbursement of funds to Christian Aid partners working on the programme and ensuring funds are used in a timely manner and for approved purposes.
To support the MEL Officer in the use of data to generate evidence from CA Health models. Support the development of evidence based communication products for strategic representation of Christian Aid internally and externally and supporting the country manager and programme manager engagement with donors, governments and other stakeholder. (30%).
To contribute to the development of Christian Aid policy, strategy and thought leadership around the Health and Gender thematic area in view of our intentions to shift power and gender relations in favour of poor and marginalised communities through evidence-based publications, communication, conference presentations.
In collaboration with the country manager, programme manager and other support functions including Fundraising team, scout for, share and assist fundraising initiatives aimed at growing the gender and health thematic area and increasing the current project portfolio size by providing technical information for proposal writing, seeking opportunities for participating in consortia, representing the organisation in relevant fundraising forums and representing the organisation in specialist technical forums including relevant Ministry and other development partner groups. (10%)
Engage in personal development including reading, training, conferences, coaching among others (10%).
About you
The role works within the International Programmes family and the wider Programme Management remit. The role is based in Nairobi Kenya and is key in providing support to the Kenya Christian Aid Programmes to ensure quality and excellence in project and budget management that ensures grants to partners are implemented as planned, within budget, timelines and deliver intended outputs and impact.You must be able to contribute meaningfully to the growth of the thematic area and demonstrate a desire to actively fundraise.

Christian Aid Regional Project Coordinator-CASE-OVC Job Positions in Kenya

About the role
To lead and manage partner portfolio for USAID CASE- OVC project within a strategic and policy framework agreed with the Senior OVC Technical Advisor and Country Manager.
This role will manage the regional project team by providing oversight and technical input that ensures project staff and Local Implementing Partners(LIPs) effectively design, develop, plan, budget, implement, evidence, learn and communicate the impact from interventions within the project and provide appropriate support and capacity building for partners. (30%)
To engage with donor reporting and communications teams and ensure evidence-based reporting and communication products are developed through planning, drafting, proof-reading, fact checking and cite-checking project documents as needed.
In close collaboration with the M&E Officer ensure accuracy and timeliness of data collected from the CASE-OVC project. Support the M&E Officer in ensuirng program quality assurance and measurement of outcomes from the project . 10%
To ensure a strong linkage exists between the project and Christan Aid’s advocacy agenda. Develop and nurture reationships with relevant stakeholders in the CASE-OVC project
including County Government and other development partners. (20%).
Personal development through learning, training, conference, workshops, publications 10%.
Key Outcomes:
Effective CASE-OVC project managed and delivered at high quality with impact in line with agreed aims and timelines.
Strong portfolio of LIPs able to respond and support: Realization of CASE-OVC objectives, Christian Aid’s advocacy and demonstrating effective communication.
Funds used for designated purpose. Compliance with financial policies and procedures including reporting requirements.
Project work plans prepared based on strong planning, Christian Aid’s strategic and policy frameworks, and strong monitoring and evaluation procedures.
Decisions on project and advocacy work in the region or division informed by Christian Aid’s strategic focus areas.
Recruitment, management, development and performance management of high performing team who are meeting their objectives
About you
You will work within the Regional Project role family and positioned in Kenya Country Programme. You will be key in leading and managing partner portfolios and ensuring quality and excellence in projects' design and delivery. You will be the overall responsibility of project delivery and quality control, donor reporting and compliance, proposal development and convening regular programme review and reflection sessions and partners consortia and you will be required to travel to the field.

Christian Aid Human Resources & Administration Assistant - CASE OVC Job Positions in Kenya
About the role
The role will support the operations and technical teams in performing HR and Administration duties to ensure smooth operations. The role will support in administrative functions of the program management team and when need be the regional project teams including, travel management, meeting organization and planning, records management archiving and filing and procurement.
The role will also support human resources department by screening and interviewing applicants; preparing payroll; orienting new employee and administering employee benefits program.
About you
You will be based in Nairobi and your role is positioned in the finance and operations family and is key in provision of administrative, human resource management, logistical and procurement support necessary for efficient functioning of the project.
