Childfund NGO Grant Finance Officer Jobs in Kenya
Job Description
The Grant Finance Officer will be responsible for receiving, reviewing, reconciling processing and giving feedback on the payment and accounting processes. The Grant Finance Officer will report to the Finance Director.
Responsibilities
Ensure expenditures and supporting documents are in compliance with donor’s regulation/audit requirements and coded correctly.
Pro-actively raise issues and concerns with the Finance Manager to ensure Childfund remains in compliance with donor contract and regulations
Prepare timely accurate financial reports in donor format.
Coordinating external and internal audits of the
Payment processing, matching requisition to LPO and invoices, ensuring they are duly approved subject to approval limits.
Receive and review accountability declaration forms from the grant staff. Suggest refunding if there is any rejections of expenses due to unacceptable supporting documents.
Cash accounting & management.
Payments processing –Raise payment vouchers,
Entering of payments in web based financial system.
Doing bank reconciliation and mpesa reconciation on a monthly basis.
Participate in end month closures.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree and CPA part 3
A good understanding of mobile payment processes
Ability to handle multiple accounting tasks including small sum payments and reporting
Knowledge of grant accounting and major donor regulations (DFID, Foundations, other multi laterals etc.)
Competent with all Microsoft Office & accounting packages
Good organisational and time management skills
At least two years Professional experience in accountancy and administration especially in an NGO
Ability to work under pressure

Job Description
Provides technical assistance in the development, implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems for DDP project and promote networking with project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Develop and strengthen monitoring, inspection and evaluation procedures
Monitor all project activities, expenditures and progress towards achieving the project output/Outcome;
Recommend further improvement of the logical framework;
Monitor the sustainability of the project's results;
Suggest strategies to the Project Management for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the project by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities and developing plans to minimize or eliminate such bottlenecks;
Report monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual progress on all project activities to the Project Manager;
Participate in annual project reviews and planning workshops and assist the Project Manager in preparing relevant reports;
Assist in coordinating across the available components of the Project to ensure effective implementation.
Assist the project personnel with M&E tools and in supporting them in their use.
Qualifications
University Degree in social sciences preferably in Project management.
At least 5 years of experience in the design and implementation of M&E in development projects implemented by national/international NGOs/ Government;
Experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis and production of reports;
Expertise in analyzing data
using statistical software;
Strong training & facilitation skills.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills in English
Computer proficiency in general office software applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook).
Demonstrated diplomacy in building relationships and working with diverse cultures and audiences.

Childfund NGO Project Coordinator Jobs in Kenya
Job Description
The incumbent has the overall responsibility for project implementation and preparation of reports, working directly with respective County Governments and the community members on the ground. He/she also provides technical support to all stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of the project. In liaison with the Program Manager of the area, the incumbent will actively participate in program planning, implementation and reporting to both Country Office and the donor.
Responsibilities
successfully strengthen the Community Based Management of Environment and Natural Resources and build the capacity of targeted communities in climate change adaptation and environmental skills
Providing leadership and guidance to the project team on all activities that will be implemented
Identifying and applying effective measures to realize the rights of the children, their families and communities through strengthening the Capacity of Pastoral Communities to address food supply gaps through rangeland management
Identification of capacity building needs of community members including children and youth on the project to ensure informed selection, planning and management of community activities.
Provide technical advice, backstopping and capacity building to staff, partners, children, community based organizations/structures and community volunteers in climate change adaptation and rangeland management.
Designing and implementing capacity building activities that ensure that children, youths and communities understand the importance of community based management of environment and natural resources.
Coordinate the planning, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of the “Strengthening the Capacity of Pastoral Communities to Address Food Supply Gaps through Rangeland Management” project
Ensure constant monitoring of activities to ensure the impact of the project
Identify and apply effective measures with and for communities to be able to manage their own grazing zones.
Ensuring that the project budgets of the Strengthening the Capacity of Pastoral Communities to Address Food Supply Gaps through Rangeland Management project is spent according to the implementation plan
Qualifications
Degree in Forestry, Agriculture, Natural Resources or other related studies
Three (3) years working experience in the field of environment, climate change adaptation and livelihood.
Five (5) years’ experience in project management
Experience in coordination, facilitating learning processes and managing relationships of various stakeholders
Experience in writing donor reports
Strategic thinking
Nurturing & developing others
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment
Team-playing skills
Facilitation skills
Good interpersonal skills
