Chemonics seeks technical specialists for multiple anticipated projects funded by USAID. The projects aim to work with government and non-government stakeholders to reduce corruption and improve accountability and oversight in Uganda.

These projects also seek to strengthen cross-sectoral linkages across community-based groups like health user committees, producer organizations, parent-teacher associations, and others to improve citizen engagement and demand for improved governance and accountability.

We are looking for individuals that have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Chemonics seeks qualified individuals with technical expertise in a range of disciplines, including:

Gender equality and social inclusion

Environmental compliance

Budget process

Media engagement

Procurement, auditing, and forensic auditing

Service delivery improvement

Public private partnerships and private sector engagement

National and subnational public administration

Political economy analysis

Institutional strengthening and performance improvement

Monitoring, evaluation, and learning, and mid-term and final impact assessments

Intergovernmental finance and integrated financial management information systems

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in relevant field preferred

A minimum of five years of relevant work experience

Experience in and working knowledge of Uganda and experience with local governance mechanisms strongly preferred

Excellent written and oral English communication skills required

Proven experience working closely with and supporting governments

Demonstrated leadership, integrity, and versatility
