3. Chebango Tea Factory IT Analyst Jobs in Bomet, Kenya

Reports to: IT Officer

Job purpose: To support IT services and business for all information requirements

Key Responsibilities

Technical support
1 Break Fix and Carry out upgrades of IT equipment a) Support in ensuring effective functioning of the company hardware and software packages.

b) (Performance of routine technical tasks, including changing of hardware electronic, Components (disks, memories, network wiring, power sources, etc.).

c) Incident, request, problems

d) Monitoring and resolution of issues to ensure hardware, software and network infrastructure performance is optimal

2 New Installations
a) Supports development and/or implementation of new and existing IT systems

b) Setting up of new equipment and connecting to the network

c) Installation of commercial and in-house developed software and related upgrades in line with company policies

d) Installation and upgrade of security tools including anti-virus software

3 Backups
a) Assistance in backup and restoration procedures for local drives.
b) Support to users in backing up and restoring their files,

c) Maintenance of backup logs and storage of backups.

IT Administration
1 Access control
2 Networks administration - Responsible for all the data and items in the weighbridge.

3 Asset Management
a) Maintenance of an up to date inventory of software and hardware.

b) Maintenance of a library of ICT related reference materials.

c) Maintenance of the inventory and stock of supplies and spare parts

Business Operations support
1 Support for Business Operations and Collaboration a) Provision of IT support to key events inside and outside the office.

b) Provision of IT support to video conferences and online webcasting.

2 Reports and Administrative Duties
a) Preparation of routine correspondence, faxes, memoranda and reports in accordance with Company’s SOP.

b) Extracting, inputting, copying and filing data from various sources.

Accountability
1 Decision Making: Accounts decision together with the IT Officer
2 Responsibility over data or information and assets Responsible for all the data and items in the weighbridge.

Required qualifications

Education and Professional qualifications - Minimum of C grade at O Level

Diploma or certificate in IT

Office Application

Knowledge of PC/LAN operating systems, Microsoft Windows

Corporate IT security and Virus protection systems,
Knowledge of web applications

Network administration

Relevant Experience and Key skills

Working experience of not less than One (1) year preferably in a IT Department of a manufacturing company.

Ability meet deadlines

High levels of integrity and honesty

Team player and good at time management and organisational skills

Performance Standards:
As per Key

Performance Indicators (KPI) detailed in the employee’s annual work plan.

4. Chebango Tea Factory Wood Fuel Officer Jobs in Bomet, Kenya

Reports to: Leaf Base Manager

Job purpose: To oversee all the activities in wood fuel department.

Supervises: General workers and casuals working in the wood fuel section.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan for Wood Fuel requirement

Ensuring the factory has adequate supply of wood fuel throughout the year.

Identifying various sources of wood fuel.

Ensure replanting of cut down trees as well as promote tree planting within the factory catchment area.

Advise management on appropriate species of wood fuel to purchase.

Develop and always update wood fuel policies and procedures.

Ensure that wood purchased is stacked in the wood fuel shades in an appropriate manner ensuring that it does not endanger anyone by falling.

Recording and keeping wood fuel operations and maintenance data.

Developing budget for the wood fuel department.

Observing and complying with environmental, health and safety measures and regulations.

Any other duty that may be assigned by management.

Accountability

Decision Making: Determining the amount of wood fuel required to crush green leave, as well as labour required to carry out various task in the wood fuel section.

Responsibility over data or information and assets

Responsible for all the assets and data in the wood fuel section.

Responsibility over staff - All wood fuel casual and general workers staff.

Required qualifications

KCSE grade C plain.

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering(Production Option)

Desirable Certificate in boiler operation

Relevant Experience and Key skills

Relevant working experience of not less three (3) years in boiler or wood fuel.

Computer literacy

Team player.

Work within set deadlines
