Job PurposeThe Bank is seeking highly motivated individuals to serve as IS Auditors in a number of departments. The job entails assessing reliability and integrity of financial and core banking systems; robustness of payment and settlement systems and conduct of ICT system audits.
Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesExamine banking systems and applications and highlight major risks & Issues.
Carry out on-site ICT system audit and track and update the ICT system risk profile of banks and non-banks.
Perform application control reviews for payment and settlement systems and conduct reviews that include system development standards; operating procedures system security; communication controls; disaster recovery and system maintenance.
Apply professional auditing principles and standards and evaluate internal controls risk management and governance processes.
Qualification and Experience
Minimum: Upper Second Class Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or ICT related field.
In addition, one should possess professional qualifications in information systems such CISA, CISM, CGEIT, CRISC.
One to two years of relevant working experience in an audit firm; ICT firm or financial institution
Possession of qualifications such as CIA, CPA or ACCA etc is an added advantage
Competencies
Knowledge of financial systems particularly in the banking sector.
Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports.
Demonstrate deep understanding of the internal audit process, controls, procedures and investigation techniques.
Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise;
Experience in the use of an audit management software such as Teammate.
Knowledge in the use of Computer Aided Audit Tools (CAATS) such as ACL.
Ability to think strategically with creative problem solving skills
Excellent communication, analytical, planning, organizational and interpersonal skills

Central Bank of Kenya Jobs – Finance Officers Jobs in Kenya
Job Purpose
Ensure that all accounting processes and procedures such as settlements/payments; reconciliation of accounts; compilation and management of budgets; compilation and filing of returns are conducted efficiently and effectively.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Processing of payments
Opening of accounts and records management
Maintenance of supplier/client static data
Operational risk management, business continuity and disaster recovery
Provide and interpret financial information, analysing and advising accordingly;
Monitor and interpret cash flows and produce varied accurate financial reports;
Recommend financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk;
Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-optimization opportunities;
Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure regular and annual audits are carried out smoothly;
Prepare and manage budgets;
Prepare financial reports
Record account payable and accounts receivable
Reconcile Bank statements
Review and implement financial policies
Qualification and Experience
Minimum: Upper Second Class Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Banking, Accounting, Business Administration or related areas.
Additionally, one should possess a minimum of CPA I/ACCA I or any other professional qualifications in either Banking or Finance/Accounting
One to two (2) years’ relevant experience in a finance and or accounting environment
Competencies
Report writing skills
Knowledge of accounts and accounting principles
Finance and risk analysis skills
Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite and financial software
Excellent communication, analytical, planning, organizational and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to think strategically with creative problem solving skills.
Knowledge of financial and accounting procedures and clear understanding of business risk management
Knowledge of accounting regulations and accounting standards

Job Purpose
To execute audit assignments in order to facilitate provision of reasonable assurance to management on the efficacy of internal controls, risk management and governance processes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Play a key role in advising and providing assurance in the Bank.
Conduct interviews with staff and Management during audits and present audit findings.
Carry out special audits and investigations as and when required
Qualification and Experience
Minimum: Upper Second Class Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
Professional qualifications such as CPA (K), ACCA, CIA, CISA.
One to two years of working experience as an auditor in an audit or consultancy firm.
Competencies
Demonstrate deep understanding of the internal audit process, controls, procedures and investigation techniques.
Experience in the use of an audit management software such as Teammate.
Outstanding analytical skills and knowledge in the use of Computer Aided Audit Tools (CAATS) such as ACL.
