Organization Background: -

Center for Public Health and Development (CPHD) is a Nairobi based non-profit organization working to improve health systems through training and other innovations in the East and Southern Africa region. CPHD combines local capacity with global knowledge to empower public and private health sector workers to improve access to better quality health services for the people they serve. Today, CPHD is leading a number of innovative projects in the region that seek to fast-track attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.

MaPEMA project aims to introduce and support the POCUS (Point of Care Ultrasound) The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends one routine early ultrasound scan for all pregnant women, but more than 50% of women in developing countries receive no ultrasound screening during pregnancy. This is because in low-income settings, ultrasound machines are in short supply. Further, they are bulky and expensive and require training to operate and experts to acquire and interpret the images. These experts are in short supply as well. Point of

care ultrasound (POCUS) and AI-Enabled POCUS can be useful for the detection of maternal, fetal, placental, and umbilical cord-related obstetric risk factors, complications, and emergencies.

High level management and leadership skills.

Ability to schedule and manage tasks effectively.

Conflict resolution and critical thinking skills.

Risk management.

High communication skills

Excellent report writing abilities

Strong written and verbal communications skills.

Cost control and budgeting skills Teamwork and motivation skills.

Organizational and Multitasking skills.

At least 5 years of experience in project management.

Proven experience in program management.

Bsc.in nursing or clinical medicine. Post graduate degree is an added advantage.

Proven donor and stakeholder management skills
