About the Company:Cellulant is a leading Pan-African technology company whose payments gateway powers and organises Africa’s Marketplace by connecting buyers, sellers and other critical stakeholders with an underlying payments solution that enables them to make and receive payments.
They provide a single digital payments platform that runs an ecosystem of consumers, retailers, merchants, banks, mobile network operators, Governments and International Development Partners.
Today they serve about 120 banks such as Barclays, Standard Chartered, Ecobank, Standard Bank etc. across several markets; 40 mobile network operators including Safaricom, Econet and MTN, 600 local and international merchants including Opera, Transfertoo, Dstv, Dangote Rice, Kenya Airways.
About the Role:
You will be responsible to grow a high-level A-class top banks and merchant’s portfolio and transaction volumes for Cellulant Uganda.
Key Responsibilities
Identify new business development opportunities and take accountability for and manage the project evaluation.
Create, negotiate and close commercial agreements.
Drive peak performance and sales success across the organization.
Monitor, analyse and develop/respond to competitors’ strategies.
Analyse trends and understand factors impacting current and potential business results of Cellulant.
Ensure effective communication of progress to targets both within Cellulant and with Clients.
Will be instrumental in devising and implementing the strategy for meeting sales performance target in their sector.
Focus on achieving business targets through developing new business opportunities.
What does Success for this role look like?
The keys
to success in the role will be signing on the Top 10 banks and named accounts across the sectors of focus under the country strategy to use the Cellulant Payment Gateway as their preferred payments provider.
As this is a direct revenue generation position, success in this role will be measured by the amount of revenue that the executive will be able to generate, against set expectations.
Must Haves
3-7 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years in direct sales and business development.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience working in the Ugandan market.
Exemplary negotiation, persuasion and networking skills.
Nice to haves:
Prior experience selling technology solutions is a strong advantage.
Experience working in the fintech or financial, insurance services industry.
