The Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) is a chartered private international

Two institutes: Canon Law and Regional
Integration and Development and the Centre for Social Justice and Ethics.
We wish to recruit dynamic, qualified and result-oriented person to all the following
position:

8. Lecturer in Regional Integration (1) - ACIRID/CUEA/02

Reporting: Reports to the Director, Institute for Regional Integration and Development.

Duties and Responsibilities

To teach at least 8 course units in Regional Integration in an academic year;

To conduct Research, publish and participate in seminars and conferences;

To supervise students’ research work;

To ensure that quality continuous assessment of students takes place and feedback
promptly given to students;

To be available to students and staff for office consultations;

To ensure regular review of courses in conformity with quality assurance reports and
emerging international best practice;

To attend and eectively participate in Institute’s and University meetings and functions;

To actively participate in Institute’s/University community service activities;

To uphold the image

of the Institute and the University in the performance of duty;

To be committed to the continuous improvement of the Institute;

To perform any other official duty that may be delegated by the immediate supervisor or
the University Management;

Minimum Qualifications

Should have a PhD in a Social Science subject with specialization and/or experience in
Regional Integration and Development;

Should have evidence of administration experience;

Should be procient in computer packages;

Must have at least three (3) years teaching experience at university level;

Must have published at least two articles in refereed journals or one university level
textbook or two (2) book chapters.

Should be a creative and innovative team player;

Should possess good interpersonal and communication skills;

Should be a person of integrity; morally upright and mature;

Should be able to work under minimum supervision;

He/she should be flexible and adaptable enough to work in a multicultural environment;

Should have the ability to guide and mentor students.
