Primary responsibilities: The primary responsibility of the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer on the project is to coordinate all the monitoring and evaluation requirements.
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will ensure that all the output indicators are understood by all Field level staff and data is collected according to the performance monitoring plan.
The M&E Officer will coordinate with the GIZ Fanser Project MEAL requirements and project indicators to assist management decisions. .
Primary Responsibilities:
• The M&E Officer will support the Knowledge and Learning Manager to oversee and guide all M&E, knowledge management and learning activities for the program.
• S/he must effectively manage relationships with CRS and partner staff to establish and oversee comprehensive M&E, knowledge management and learning systems that will improve the quality of the program.
• S/he will also serve as the point person for M&E with CRS, and be responsible for coordinating and preparing all required reports.
• The M&E Officer will provide mentorship with the assistnace of the Techenical Quality Coordinators to the Field Supervisors
and Caritas Staff to progressively build skills in M&E, knowledge management and learning.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Demographics, Development Studies, Agriculture, Social Work, Social Sciences or a related field OR relevant field experience in project monitoring and evaluation.
• Experience in designing assessments and surveys, report formats, and other programming documents.
• Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative M&E methods in Food Security, Livelihoods, Nutrition and/or other sectors
• Strong experience working on monitoring and evaluation in emergency and development programs.
• Ability to work effectively with Donors, Partner Organizations and Government Institutions; and to work effectively as part of multi-disciplinary team
• Possess relevant computer skills
• Self-guided, strong organizational and planning skills
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills; local language skills desirable
• Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time to project sites within the country and work long hours.
