Care International NGO ICT Manager Jobs

CARE Somalia is an International NGO working in Somalia. CARE Somalia and its partners work with vulnerable communities to address the underlying causes of poverty and promote peace and development through its strategic goal to reduce poverty by empowering women, enhancing access to resources and services and improving governance.

We are seeking applications from experienced professionals to fill In the position of ICT Manager.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for ensuring seamless availability of ICT services and resources necessary for the Country Office (CO) to run efficiently.

The incumbent will manage all aspects of Information and Communication Technology OCT) of CARE International Somalia under the supervision of the Program Support Director.

S/he will maintain information technology strategies by researching and implementing technological strategic solutions for the country office.

The incumbent will also manage staff under the ICT unit.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management Systems or its equivalent with at least five years' work experience in a similar role.

A Masters in Computer Science or its equivalent will be an added advantage.

S/he must have excellent communication skills (written and

oral), experience working with culturally diverse teams and experience in supporting geographically dispersed teams and offices.

The position is based in Nairobi with 40% travel to the field offices in Somalia.

The ideal candidate therefore must be willing and able to travel, sometimes on short notice, and work alone or in a team, under challenging environments.
