Our client, a Structures & Logistics — workforce housing, innovative modular facilities, construction, site support services, logistics and operations management in Humanitarian, Oil and Gas, Petrochemical and Mining industries is urgently looking to recruit a Camps Manager.
The ideal candidate will be in-charge of the management of a 200 POB remote camp where our client is accommodating her staff and its Subcontractors staff, the Camp manager will oversee the work performed by the camp operation subcontractor (s) and other matters by performing the following duties;
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
To be responsible for the general checking of the camp, site offices and technical services to assist in the smooth running of the day to day operation supporting the construction activities.
To liaise with the management for all issues related to both hard and soft services maintained by the services sub-contractors.
To manage daily camp occupancy in liaison with Site construction representative report to the management.
To set up and maintain a camp information management system in line with the organization’s cluster requirements
To make sure the Service Level Agreements related to the services performed by the subcontractor are met.
To ensure a positive working environment and good team dynamics
To assist, audit and follow-up KPI to evaluate the Subcontractor service level.
To make sure the work procedure related to various services including technical and maintenance services are in place (work permit)
To make sure that all preventive actions and corrective actions are taken to allow a 24h/24h, 7 days/7 running of the camp and utilities.
To check that food and spare parts stock level are optimized and in line with CONTRACTOR requisition.
To estimate and follow-up the Operational Expenditure budget of the camp and related services
To assume responsibility for security
of camp facilities and camp personnel.
To ensure that each member of the team and Subcontractors staff is aware of security issues, policies, SOPs and they follow them accordingly.
To ensure quality control, analysis of added-value and impact, identification and capitalization on best practices and lessons learnt and provide relevant feedback for new project development.
To assume responsibility for inventory and ordering of recreational equipment and supplies.
To check and validate of camp subcontractor invoices.
To check and validate of the time sheets of Subcontractor’s staff.
Provide and maintain records and reports.
Any other duties deemed necessary by the Management in the smooth running of site operations.
Key Competencies & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution
Must have at least 10 years broad experience in relevant sphere
Technical background a plus
Ability to coordinate and manage staff and project activities
Ability to work with culturally diverse groups of people
Ability to be self-motivated with a positive attitude and a solid work ethic
Organizational skills and the ability to be proactive and take initiative
Excellent communication and drafting skills
