Call for Nominations: ICIP Peace in Progress Award



The International Catalan Institute for Peace has been giving the ICIP Peace in Progress Award every year since 2011 to publicly recognise people, entities, or institutions that have worked and contributed prominently and extensively in promoting and constructing peace.

The Peace in Progress Award consists of public recognition, a sculpture created by the Nobel Peace Prize winner, artist and activist Adolfo Pérez Esquivel, called Porta del Sol, and an economic endowment of 6,000 euros. The award ceremony occurs annually in an institutional ceremony at the Parliament of Catalonia.

Award

• The ICIP Peace in Progress Award 2023 consists of an honorary distinction, public recognition, a sculpture created by Adolfo Pérez Esquivel, Nobel Peace Prize winner, and a 6,000€ reward.

Who is eligible for the ICIP Peace in Progress Award?

• Eligible for this award are natural and non-profit legal persons from around the world that have made an outstanding contribution to the
construction and promotion of peace in Catalonia or in any other country.

• No award will be granted posthumously.

Who can submit nominations and how to do it?

• Any natural or legal person can submit nominations to the ICIP Peace
in Progress Award. Self-nominated candidates will not be accepted.

• Nominations that were not successful in previous editions may be submitted again this year.

• Only a maximum of two applications per applicant will be accepted.

If any applicant presents more than two applications, only the last two
applications registered will count.
