Job DescriptionCAFOD, SCIAF and Trόcaire (CST) represent the official development agencies of the Catholic Church in England and Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
In Ethiopia, the three agencies work together to help reduce poverty, promote development and respond to humanitarian emergencies with the Catholic Church as well as local and international NGO partners.
Trócaire (on behalf of CAFOD, SCIAF and Trócaire) is currently looking for an Ethiopian citizen for the position of Resilient Communities Programme Coordinator based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The role will report to the Programme Manager and will have the following job purpose.
Job PurposeStrategically Manage and Lead the Resilient Communities Programme in line with the country strategy.
In collaboration with the Women empowerment team, ensure the integration of Women Empowerment Programming with the resilient communities programme and ensure thorough implementation Humanitarian strategy considering current humanitarian context of Ethiopia.
Job ScopeThe post-holder works closely with the Programme Manager and is responsible for building effective working relationships with peers and colleagues across the entirety of Trócaire. The post holder line manages Resilient Communities Programme Officers (4).
Job RequirementsJob-Specific
CompetenciesEducation Master’s degree in development studies, social studies, humanitarian response, or other relevant field
Experience
5 years and above relevant work experience on similar positions specially in international organizations
Demonstrated knowledge and experience implementing humanitarian standards, Ethiopian humanitarian programme contexts including government processes and donor requirements
Relevant experience on resilience programming, humanitarian response and financial management.
Detail understanding and practical knowledge of projects design and management which are Donor funded, Humanitarian and resilient.
Experience working with consortium and Institutional funded projects, trends and donor conditions
