Busia County Solicitor Jobs Kenya


Busia County Public Service Board is a body corporate established under Section 57 of the County Governments Act 2012 whose mandate includes appointing persons to hold or act in the offices of County Public Service.

The County Government of Busia calls on all interested and suitably qualified persons to submit applications to serve as County Attorney and County Solicitor.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The County Solicitor shall be the principal assistant of the County Attorney in the execution of the functions of the County Attorney.

    Requirements for Appointment

    A person qualifies for appointment as County Solicitor if such person-

  • Is a Kenyan citizen;
  • Has at least a Degree in law from recognized institution;
  • Has at least five years’ experience as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya; and
  • Meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.

  • All the applications should reach the Secretary, County Public Service Board, or on before Wednesday, 26th September, 2018.

    Note:

  • All applicants are required to obtain clearance from the following institutions
  • The Criminal Investigation Department (CID)
  • The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
  • The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
  • The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be contracted
  • Shortlisted candidates will be required to produce their original National Identity Cards,
  • Certificates and Testimonials at the interview
