Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deputizing the County Head of Security and Enforcement

  • Formulating and implementing policies and strategies of the County security and enforcement

  • Coordinating and enforcing security issues in the county

  • Regulating enforcement and security staff rules in the county

  • Giving regular reports on enforcement and security to the County Head of Security and
    enforcement

  • Directing, guiding and consulting on the day-to-day operations

  • Commanding and supervising uniformed and non-uniformed staff

  • Appraising staff with regard to training, promotions, welfare and discipline

  • Ensuring cooperation and consultation with representatives of all government agencies on
    matters pertaining to enforcement and security

  • Performing any other lawful duties as may be assigned by the superiors from time to time

    Requirements for Appointment

  • Be a Kenyan citizen

  • Must have served in the position of Senior Superintendent for a minimum period of three (3)
    years

  • Attended a Strategic Leadership Development Programme lasting not less than six (6) weeks or
    its equivalent will be an added advantage.

  • Bachelors degree in the following disciplines: Security Management, Criminology and Fraud Management, Criminology and Security Studies, Penology or its equivalent qualification from a
    recognized institution;

  • Certificate in Senior Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks or its equivalent from a recognized institution

  • Certificate of Good Conduct

  • Demonstrated merit and shown ability as reflected in work performance and results

  • Certificate in computer applications
