Job DescriptionBruh Entertainment PLC is the distributor of CANAL+ is looking for dynamic professionals who are highly motivated to be involved in an ambitious and innovative project in Ethiopia.
Bruh Entertainment PLC is the distributor of CANAL+ products in Ethiopia and will play a critical role in executing the CANAL+ project to bring a new pay-tv product of 80+ television channels to Ethiopian consumers.
The CANAL+ Group is a pay-tv broadcaster based in France with almost 20 million subscribers in Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean. CANAL+ is operating in more than 25 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and has announced its entry into Ethiopia a top strategic priority.
The CANAL+ offering will include a vast library of international and Amharic content developed by and for Ethiopians.
With your help, Bruh Entertainment will bring this new product to Ethiopian households by building a sales network throughout the country.
Under the responsibility of the COO, the IT Systems Manager mission is to manage information technology and computer systems, leading IT staff with both technical and management skills to provide the necessary environment for project success
Duties
Management of the IT Systems Department including System & Network administration, database administration, application & web development in charge of:
Designing, developing, implementing and coordinating systems, policies and procedures
Specify and document the architectures
Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
Operate the platforms and applications
Monitor the services
Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT operations
Identify problematic areas and implement strategic
solutions in time
Audit systems and assess their outcomes
Preserve assets, information security and control structures
Take part to the technical strategy definition and ensure its declension within the technical teams
Guarantor of the service quality
Lead the relationship with vendors and partners
Coordinate and optimize the use and operation of IT and office resources
Guarantee accessibility to the local and extended network
Manage the IT budget
Ensure the backup of local computer data
Ensure the adaptation and maintenance of the IT equipment
Set up the organization providing operational support for the subsidiary's IT equipment, in accordance with the service contract defined with the business lines
Accompany and provide support to local employees on a daily basis
Ensure technology watch
Job Requirements
Management experience
Project management experience
5 years of experience of IT experience required.
Knowledge in technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
Knowledge in network administration and network installation
Good English skills – French will be a plus
required profile
BA in Information system, Computer science and related fields
Sense of autonomy and responsibility
Ability to adapt and be on the look-out for new ideas
Fault-finding skills
Time management skills
Flexibility
Good interpersonal skills / team spirit
Reactivity and pragmatism
Willingness to be multi tasks, even more during the launch phase of the activity
