Roles and responsibilities:

Manage and run the Security budget.

This requires having a thorough knowledge of budget forecasting and the day to day accounting associated with the running of a very substantial budget.

Must have an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Have an in-depth knowledge of the physical security measures necessary for the safeguarding of a high profile workplace and staff accommodation.

Be able to carry out sensitive security investigations with accuracy and integrity.

Can understand, analyse and collate information from a variety of internal and external sources.

Produce and deliver relevant and timely security briefings for staff, visitors and families.

Line manage one member of staff.

Manage the Mission’s contact databases for staff and visitors.

Carry out the

duties of the Regional Overseas Security Manager during his absences from Post Resources managed:

Line Management of one member of staff.

Management of the security budget

Essential qualifications, skills and experience

Hold a suitable Security management or Business degree.

Have in-depth knowledge of protective security.

Be eligible to obtain, or currently hold, UK security clearance.

Have extensive IT and administrative skills.

Possess budget management skills.

Line management experience.

Have an excellent command of English both written and verbal.

Have held a Kenyan or international driving licence for at least two years
