Job Purpose The Security Supervisor who will oversee facility security to protect all company assets. The Security Supervisor may also manage and/or implement security protocols related to the storage of confidential information and documents. Promote, through consultation, with users and Department staff the overall security access control strategy. .
Summary of Key Responsibilities;
• Develop and implement security policies, protocols and procedures
• Conduct Frequent security tactic trainings with the Guards
• Ensure all security systems, like the burglar alarms and CCTV are working properly
• Supervise and oversee security functions in an organization.
• Control budgets for security operations and monitor expenses
• Recruit, train and supervise security officers and guards
• Attend meetings with other managers to determine operational needs
• Evaluate, assess and analyze performance of security personnel.
• Initiate disciplinary measures wherever necessary.
• Keep the premises free from all kinds of dangers.
• Training Security Guards on how screen visitors before allowing them to enter the premises.
• Maintain all security devices and products in good working condition.
• Develop and implement preventative measures against accidents, thefts and other risks
• Ensure compliance of applicable policies and regulations while implementing security measures
• Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events
• Coordinate staff when responding to emergencies and alarms
• Review reports on incidents and breaches
• Analyze data to form proposals for improvements (e.g. implementation
of new technology)
• Secure company property and boundaries
• Secure company land from squatters at all times
• Investigate and resolve issues
• Create reports for management on security status

Qualifications and Experience
• Full Grade Twelve Certificate
• Diploma in Security Management or Related
Qualification
• Must have a minimum of 5 – 7 years proven experience in Security Management with a well-established Company or Security Firm
• Must have worked within the Security Industry, Military, Police Service or including incident control.
• Proven Experience in preparing and presenting security reports
• Must be well vested in Different Security Systems and CCTV
• Must have a knowledge of all emergency policies and procedures
• Ability to maintain accurate record of the problems.
• Must have a Clean valid driver’s license
• Must have no criminal record
