The main role of the Business Development Officer Global Resource Mobilisation and Partnership is to contribute to effective, efficient operational and administrative support to the GRP team in regards to Business development and Resource mobilization.
In addition, the holder of this position leads in searching for funding opportunities and shares with Country offices, manage BRAC International Pipeline, ensure Salesforce is up to date besides supporting partner mapping and proposals/concepts reviews and development. The Business Development Officer, GRP, liaises with the BRAC Country Offices as requested.
This position reports to the Head of Global Resource Mobilization with constant interaction with senior Programme teams in Africa Regional Office and Country Offices in Africa Region to resolve a variety of Administrative and Program issues from time to time.
Core Responsibilities:Ensure participation of technical leads in the decision making and proposal development processes as appropriate
Coordinate the Go/No-Go decision-making process and ensure all opportunities adhere to SOP
Ensure BRAC International Pipeline is up to date while coordination with all the Account managers and GRP BI Senior Team
Support proposal and concept development
Key Responsibilities:
Resource Mobilization Support General
e the Focal Point for alerts on new calls for proposals from BI Country offices and affiliates (BRAC UK & BRAC USA) incl circulation.
Ensure all opportunities align to the Proposal Development SOP process and note those that do not.
Monitor grant opportunities websites (DevelopementAid, etc) and UN entities websites in search of grant opportunities and share relevant ones to Country Offices for review and consideration on a regular basis
Support the review process of draft proposals originating from the account leads and GRP review team.
Support Proposal development as guided by the Head of Resource Mobilisation and GRP Senior team
Business Development Support
Support the development of Business development plans incl coordination of workshops and meetings
Liaising with countries fundraising focals towards timely coordination and preparation for the structured Quarterly fundraising meetings and regular Resource mobilization Community of Practice (CoP).
Documenting quarterly fundraising meeting minutes for Country Offices, dissemination and follow up on action points
Consolidation of information on unsuccessful bids for use in review meetings
Support the development of briefs on new Business development
opportunities and partnerships
Ensure and analyse BRAC International Pipeline and funding opportunities in coordination with all the Account managers and GRP BI Senior Team
Store relevant data under your care/supervision in the BRAC Family File Share (BFFS) or other online space as provided by BI
Support and coordinate the development of marketing materials for use at Country, regional and global levels
Budget and Communication Support
Assure frequent updates of Country fact sheets, program updates in partnership with the GRP BI team including circulation and engagement with BI Communication.
Support the Business development annual target setting work with the GRP Director including monthly summaries.
Support/coordinate the process of updating/reviewing Resource Mobilization Plans for BI Country offices
Educational Requirements:
Diploma
Degree in Social Sciences preferred.
Required Competencies
Attention to detail, organizational skills and a sense of urgency
Good written and verbal communication skills
Excellent Microsoft Office Suite and/ Google Suites skills – especially Microsoft excel, PowerPoint
Great people management skills
Outgoing and agile.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 3-5 years of business development work experience in NGO sector
Experience in engaging with teams across cultural backgrounds
Experience in data analysis and presentation
Understand foundational resource mobilisation skills
Experience in organising teams towards a particular objective
