Our Health intervention in Uganda began in 2008 to ensure that people living in poverty can access quality, affordable health services.
The goal of the projects is to lower morbidity and mortality among children under five from diseases such as diarrhea, pneumonia, and malaria: improve maternal health: improve basic essential healthcare services in rural areas: and improve the nutritional status of smallholder families with a focus on pregnant women, children under five and adolescent girls.
Core Roles and Responsibilities
• Conducting RGIL and Project Officer Performance assessment.
• Supervise and Monitor RGIL activities of PAHs and CHPs for all branches under area supervised.
• Build the capacity of CHPs to collectively engage with local leaders and community members on eye care issues.
• Generating leads to increase uptake of reading glasses and presbyopia correction.
• Stock management and verification at all branches supervised.
• Visit CHPS with in their communities; supervise community events with Project Officers and CHPS.
• Check and conduct household visits with person in charge.
• Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
• Doing any other roles as of when required by the supervisors.
Job specifications
• The successful candidate should have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or any other business-related course, 3 years’ experience
in sales and marketing.
Understanding of the sales process and dynamics, a commitment to excellent customer service, superb interpersonal skills including the ability to quickly build rapport with both CHPS, Project Officers and communities.
Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment and able to work in rural areas.
