Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Section, he or she will be responsible for: -

  • Storage and maintenance of files and employee records

  • Management of files movement

  • Ensuring proper receipt and dispatch of mails

  • Sorting and classifying documents

  • Updating and maintenance of employee records

  • File indexing and folioing

  • Appraisal and disposal of dormant files

  • Developing record distribution and storage policies.

  • Analyzing information needs and developing procedures to ensure these Requirements are met

  • Digitizing of records

  • Any other relevant duty that may be assigned

    Requirements for Appointment

  • Diploma in Records Management, Library and Information Science or equivalent from a recognized institution

  • Conversant with Microsoft suite

  • Knowledge of relevant legislations and professional standards.
