ResponsibilitiesReporting to the facility /department- in -charge, the officer will: -
Develop assistive and adaptive devices and equipment commonly used in Orthopaedic Technology
Provide guidance in the development of procedures for the department
Make decisions regarding work processes based on established guidelines
Prioritize and organize work to meet changing conditions
Requirements
Diploma in Orthopaedic Technology from KMTC or approved government medical training institution
Member of the National Association for Orthopaedic Technologists in Kenya
Knowledge of modern orthopaedic equipment., plaster technology, appliances and materials
Knowledge of affirmative action and rights of persons with disabilities
Ability to assess client needs, design, make fit and train users on a variety of adaptive devices and equipment
Demonstrable skills and experience in orthopaedic technology using modern equipment and tools
Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution
