Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Energy Engineer, the officer will :-

Respond to power failures in various sites

Troubleshoot and repair power equipment

Carry out preventive maintenance on electrical installations

Ensure that all electrical systems are maintained and functional

Complete service repairs, replacements, upgrades, adjustments and calibration on all electrical systems

Report on the status of all power systems in various sites

Connect wires to circuit breakers or other electrical components

Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components

Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures

Perform any other duty as may be assigned from time to time

Requirements for Appointment

Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Chemical Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution

Minimum one (1) year experience as a technician in electrical maintenance

Very strong analytical and troubleshooting skills of electrical systems

Have understanding on generators, electrical controls including electrical changeover(s) or transfer switches

Ability to read/understand Electrical drawings and schematics.
