Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to Solicitor General, the duties and responsibilities will include:-

Undertaking Research on assigned legal issues.

Representing County Executive in court proceedings.

Giving legal opinions on matters relating to County Executive Functions.

Drafting, vetting and interpreting document and agreement for and on behalf of the County Executive and its agencies.

Performing any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements for Appointment

Served in the grade of County Legal Counsel II or in a similar and relevant position for a minimum period of three (3) years.

Bachelor of Law (LLB) Degree from a recognized institution.

Postgraduate Diploma in Legal studies from Kenya School of Law.

Admission as an advocate in the High Court of Kenya.

Current Practising Certificate.

Fulfilled all the requirements of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.

Proficiency in computer applications.

Demonstrate understanding of National Values and Principles of Governance and Public Service as stipulated in Article10 232 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
