Job DescriptionBeza posterity development organization /BPDO/ is an indigenous, non-profit making, non-governmental humanitarian organization working on Health, Socio economic, capacity building and advocacy Programs in Amhara, Addis Ababa, Tigray and Afar regions.
BPDO has entered a project agreement with USAID to implement activities entitled HIV Prevention, testing and treatment in Amhara regional state.
BPDO wants to recruit interested applicants who fulfill the minimum requirements as an employee
Duties and Responsibilities
Plan, organize and coordinate HIV prevention, test and treatment activity for West Amhara partners
Plan and monitor the implementation of HIV prevention, Testing and treatment intervention of partners to bring high quality program outcomes,
Design tools and strategies which brings better health outcomes and ensures adherence to treatment and retention in care,
Provide technical guidance for partners especially new initiative activities like recency testing, Self-tests, surveillance cancer implementations in the DICs.
Coordinate ,Follow and lead the area office teams of BPDO based at Bahir dar
Ensure collaboration and coordination with Local implementing partners, regional health bureaus, zonal health department, district health offices,
Provide on spot technical back up for partners, frontline workers and CBOs to have the capacity to perform high quality project results,
Conduct technical and institutional capacity assessment for partners, CBOs and develop plan of action based on findings to enhance their capacity in HIV prevention services and to have skill and knowledge on local resource mobilization,
In collaboration with the clinical team of partners design better strategies to intensify HIV new case finding and ensuring linkage of HIV positives for treatment,
Integrate gender issues as essential component in the whole project cycle management and give significant
attention for GBV prevention and care through referral linkage,
Ensure youth engagement in HIV prevention testing and treatment and align to USAID Youth in Development policy,
Ensure proper budget utilization and adhere to organizational financial policy and donor compliance requirements,
Collect and Submit high quality periodic reports including success stories that demonstrates the successful implementation of HIV prevention, testing and treatment activity
Represent the organization in meetings, workshops, GO-NGO forums and other events as needed at regional level or zonal level.
Job Requirements
Qualification, Experiences, Essential Skills and Abilities
BA/BSc or MA/MSc in Nurse and public health
A minimum of 8 years for MA/MSc and 10 years related work experience for BA/BSc
NGO experience is preferable
Experience of working with community preferably with PEPFAR USAID HIV prevention project at community level
Experience in developing detailed implementation plan of activities
Good understanding on project cycle management
Proven experience in coaching and mentoring in HIV/AIDS projects
Good interpersonal communication
Demonstrated analytical and report writing skills
