Job DescriptionWe are looking for a senior copywriter & content creator to join our growing team and work with us per project basis , on freelance basis.
As a gatekeeper for content efforts, strong writing, editing and storytelling abilities are crucial to setting the right tone across platforms that truly represent the company.
Our ideal candidate is a team-spirited, skilled and imaginative writer with an eye for detail, excellent in Amharic and English language skills.
Responsibilities
Writing, reviewing, editing, and updating content for company websites, blogs, marketing
materials, and for a variety of medias.
Write, develop, and strategize online content production
Interpret copywriting briefs to understand project requirements
Collaborating with internal departments to establish campaign objectives, complete tasks, and identify and solve problems.
Suggesting new ways to promote company offerings and build our brand
Write original copy for ads
Edit and fact-check pieces of content generated by colleagues
Use SEO practices to optimize articles and increase visibility
Liaise with Designers to enrich text with visual aids, like images and charts
Shape language and tone used in sales emails, banners and brochures
Ensure all content is up-to-date
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Proven experience as a copywriter & content creator or related roles for a minimum of 5 years
Portfolio of published articles
Ability to write creative copy both for large pieces of content (e.g. product descriptions) and smaller texts (e.g. social media posts)
Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
Creative thinking skills and ability to think conceptually
Collaborative spirit
Knowledge of online content strategy and creation
Organized and self-sufficient
Excellent in Amharic and English language skills(verbal & written)
