Job Specification:

Reporting to Senior Assistant Trainer, the job holder will be responsible for general supervision, plans, schedules, and implements swimming and water safety instructional programs for a diverse range of trainees.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail assisting in: -

Teaching swimming techniques and water safety skills to trainees

Assessing the progress of students and adjusting teaching programs accordingly

Giving advice on water safety

Performing First aid and including CPR

Enforcing safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents

Treating the pool with appropriate chemicals on a regular maintenance

Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the pool

Person Specification:

For appointment to this grade a Candidate must have the following appointment to this grade a Candidate must have the following:

Diploma in relevant field or its equivalent

Four (4) years’ experience in instructing (Swimming)

Lifeguard certificate

First Aid Certificate

Proficiency in Computer Applications will be an added advantage

Fulfil chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya
