Job Vacancy:

Back-End Software Engineer

The Back-End Engineer is responsible for the design, development, testing, implementation, training and support of support of core systems.

The job holder will help evolve our existing architecture, working with teams to improve operations, and implementing new features and functionality.

Additionally, s/he will collaborate with the engineering team when necessary to ensure smooth integration of back end systems to user facing systems.

Key Responsibilities

Work with the relevant Engineers to gather both functional and non-functional user requirements; and come up with appropriate solution designs.

Develop approved products and systems based on defined user needs and software requirements in line with the secure systems development standards.

Ensure that all messaging and content services APIs, portals and data are secure.
Perform capacity and concurrency test for all API services and portals developed.

Direct development and execution of a Financial Services disaster recovery and business continuity plan.

Ensure all company developed systems, platforms and applications are documented. (Design Document and Git)

Coordinate technology research and development (R&D) and evaluate and recommend technologies aligned to the business strategy.

Participated in daily scrum meetings with the product owner and actively reduce on the product backlog.

Perform unit test, system inFtegration test and operation acceptance tests for every new feature.

Follow defined policy and or procedures to ensure systems, data, and or information is kept confidential.

Participate and contribute towards knowledge

transfer and product innovation.

Train users to use new or modified systems and or equipment.

How to Apply

A graduate with a degree in computer sciences or any other related field
Must be proficient in Laravel and Vue.js frameworks

Must be proficient in PHP, Python, Java programming languages

Must have least 4 years’ proven work experience as a software developer

Strong understanding of the system development cycle and programming techniques and tools.

Experience in database systems

Excellent project and time management skills.

Strong problem solving and verbal and written communication skills.
