Purpose of the Job Execute the sales and trade marketing plans for the achievement of the company’s objectives/targets on his territory through
Constant follow up of the agent’s activities
Training/coaching of the agent’s sales force
Management of assigned stockiest in Agent’s territory
Main Responsibilities
Management focus:
Manage sales performance
Managing day-to-day sales and service activities of Agents
Ensure that Agents perform per specified sales objectives and criteria (per Agent contract)
Take responsibility for sales performance (against set volume targets) and execution of sales and marketing standards in allocated area
Functional focus:
Perform scheduled and unscheduled trade visits in allocated area to:
assess sales and service performance
identify new opportunities for volume growth and service improvements
monitor competitive activities
Manage Agents
Manage stock and supply of assigned agents (including damaged and
expired products)
Achieve sales target & distribution objectives for his territory
Accountable for availability, visibility and accessibility of Awash range in priority outlets
Execute the Picture of Success in the key outlets of his territory according the Awash standards per channel (merchandising, visibility, price, must have SKU…)
Develop route plans for the Agent direct delivery sales force
Recruit and manage the stockiest network
Coach and develop the Agent’s sales team
Organize and drive daily/weekly sales meetings with Agent’s sales force
Delivered accurate and timely sales administration, sales and retail audit reports
Administrative focus:
Daily reporting of area sales activities and executions against set objectives
Daily exception reporting of sales and service failures and trade anomalies to Regional Sales Managers
Weekly reporting of area sales performance against set targets
Weekly reporting of area trade status per set criteria
Weekly approvals and submissions of outlet data master amendments
Timeously compile and submit prescribed reporting inputs and outputs to management and staff
Be responsible for the management and control of expenditures against set budgets
Be responsible for agent’s adherence to the contract
Conduct periodic performance reviews with agents, as per prescribed standards and timing schedule.
Job Requirements
Educational Background, Experience
1. Education
BA Degree in Marketing or Sales or Business Administration and related filed
2. Experience
Minimum of two years supervisory sales experience.
Fast moving consumer good experience is preferable
Driving license is mandatory
Regional local language is required
