Job summary

To manage the commercial sales and distribution activities in a specified part of Addis Ababa and to ensure set sales volume and market execution targets are continuously achieved.

Main Responsibilities

conduct periodic performance reviews with subordinates, as per prescribed standards and timing schedule and take responsibility for supervisory subordinates doing the same.

Manage the relationships between Account Developers, Salesmen and Porters to ensure an effective execution of the Commercial Sales and Distribution strategy in Addis Ababa.

Manage the relationship between Addis Sales & Distribution and Warehouse to ensure

an effective execution of the Commercial Deployment strategy.

Managing the day-to-day activities of the Sales Team (Account Developers, Salesmen and Porters).

Ensuring that Addis direct sales operate to specified sales objectives and criteria and to prescribed sales and distribution operating standards (according to Awash Standard Operating Procedures and Picture of Success).

Taking responsibility for prescribed area of Addis volume performance (against set volume targets) and execution of sales standards.

Monthly reporting of specific area of Addis sales performance against sales targets and operational sales criteria

Monthly reporting of specific area of Addis performance against set marketing, trade marketing execution and trade performance / compliance objectives.

Timeously compile and submit prescribed reporting inputs and outputs to management and staff

Be responsible for the management and control of expenditures against set budgets.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education and Experience Required

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Business Administration, or related.

Minimum 4 years in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry with good Route to Market Knowledge. Previous experience in the Addis Ababa market will be preferred.

At least 2 years’ experience having managed sales representatives and distribution teams with a sales target responsibility.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to multi-task
