Qualifications
Academic/Skills
Bachelors’ degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or any other related field – equivalent work experience will be considered as well Fluency in English
Work experience
Minimum 3 years working experience in developing web apps or web based solutions
Experience in developing financial software solutions
Website development and UI/UX design, programming against APIs and web services
Architecture of web apps (HTTPS, SSL/TLS, SQL injection protection, session hijacking, XSS, CSRF)
Experience with several of the following tools/technologies; HTML5, LESS and CSS, JavaScript, JQUERY / JSON, AngularJS, Ajax, REST services and APIs / Databases (xSQL), At least one object oriented language (e.g. Java, Python), GitHub/Bit-bucket/Jira/AWS
Knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
Solid understanding of software development life cycle
Experience in an agile work environment, i.e. source code and build management, testing, continuous integration
System Performance Optimization
Application security, i.e. storage and transport layer encryption, SSL
Personality
Fast thinker/solution oriented
Ability to work with remote teams
Self-motivated
Strong analytical skills & structured approach to work
Willingness to work long or irregular hours
Responsibilities &
Duties
Develop and maintain awamo’s Cockpit, a large single page web application (management information system / BI solution)
Align with the product management team about features, design/UI/UX and priorities
Align processes and data exchange with our transactional back-end (open source, Java)
Optimize design and code after the initial deployment
Participate in the full project life cycle from design to go-live and support
Improve automated testing procedures
Write documentation
Work with outside data sources and APIs
Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
