AVSI Foundation NGO Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant Jobs in Kenya
AIM: Working closely with M& E Officer to support monitoring and evaluation activities across all program areas in accordance with AVSI Plan 2018
Main Responsibilities and duties
Monitoring and evaluation strategy implementation
Contribute to the technical design of M&E methodologies
Working with program staff to ensure M&E tools and processes are understood and used
Provide advice to staff and stakeholders on M&E decisions, such as the identification of priorities, needs and indicators, design, set up and use of M& E systems
Identify opportunities to provide and present findings and data to colleagues to contribute to decision making and strategic planning process
Write and present reports
Ensure information from M&E activities is properly analyzed and written up for reporting and learning
Support staff to ensure the quality of evaluation reports
Presenting data an reports either written or verbally to internal and external audiences
Promoting the sharing of written feedback about impact/ outcome and learning findings to stakeholders groups
Ensure report and findings are communicated effectively via close collaboration with the Country representative
Participate in external events.
Minimum requirements:
First degree in Social sciences or Diploma in M& E
Strong interpersonal, organizational , leadership and multi- tasking skills
Intense desire to work among vulnerable and less disadvantaged beneficiaries
Computer literate with very good knowledge of word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Communication skills with very good knowledge of spoken and written English

Aim of the position: Provide accurate information for financial statement and assure correct analysis and recording of revenue and expenditure.
Main Responsibilities and duties
Prepare, examine, and analyse accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
Compile and analyse financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts
Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
Prepare financial management reports
Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures
Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
Compute taxes and prepare returns, ensuring compliance with payments, reporting and other tax requirements
Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
Analyse and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues
Assist in management of Asset and inventory register
Human resources management and preparation of payroll
Conduct internal and external audit procedures
Minimum requirements:
CPA Part 11, A degree in accounting or finance.
Computer literate with knowledge of one or more accounting software

AVSI Foundation NGO Social worker Jobs in Kenya
AIM: To implement DSP project activities in the designated area, offering support to children and families
Main Responsibilities and duties
Assesses and follows-up children supported by Distance Support Programme.
Do family social analysis, needs and resource assessment of the DSP beneficiaries (Individual, Family and community); using the House Hold vulnerable assessment tool (HVAT).
Know all the information on every child assigned, that means to have the dossier of the child in hard and in soft copy.
Visit a child twice per year, in his/her home or at school.
Must Understand the needs of the child in school and at home within the context of the community where the child lives.
Reporting and communication.
Compiles and submit regular reports as envisaged by the project , submit two communication of and on the child as stipulated by the Project.
Guide the children to communicate with the sponsors
Prepare quarterly and annual budgets capturing all the intervention activities for the beneficiaries or as required.
Organize and facilitate educative workshops and sensitizations related to DSP activities and supported children. This includes awareness creation on HIV/AIDS.
Do final evaluation and prepare report for an exit child
Establish and maintain regular contacts with all the key stakeholders for the common interest of the children
School headmasters, teachers and instructors where children are studying
Undertake any other duties assigned by the DSP Project Supervisor in relation to the Project objectives and goals
Minimum requirements:
first degree in Community development / social work or higher diploma in community development from a recognized institution
The ability to deliver high-quality client care for the OVC and sensitive to the need of OVC
Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
The ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

Aim of the position: Assure the respect of AVSI procedures and norms in performing all the activities under Logistics & Procurement. Provide the due and prompt support necessary for program implementation and HQ office maintenance and functioning in AVSI Kenya.
Main Responsibilities and duties
Coordinate the purchasing of goods and services needed for the implementation of office and project activities including goods and services of Distance Support Programme.
Manage the vehicle fleet belonging to AVSI and its projects (follow the rules for the use of the vehicles, for the maintenance of the vehicles, management of fuel purchases, insurance etc.).
Manage the ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of AVSI assets and the general office maintenance.
Professionally and efficiently organize the work of the staff under his control (Logistician, Driver, Watchman, and Cleaner).
Make sure that the adequate logistic support during meetings, seminars or other events is provided.
Minimum requirements:
First degree in Procurement and supply chain management
Have a valid driving license and driving experience in major towns
Flexible and motivated self-starter personality
Computer literate.
