Overview of the Position

Our client, in the Hospitality Industry running a restaurant and aiming at opening several branches, is seeking to recruit a talented and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to oversee all restaurant operations to ensure that it runs smoothly. Train and supervise restaurant staff, ensure compliance with food health and safety regulations, and resolve any customer complaints in their company.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily front of the house and back of the house restaurant operations

Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction

Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints

Organize and supervise shifts

Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity

Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products

Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations

Manage restaurant's good image and suggest ways to improve it

Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste

Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses

Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events

Recommend ways to reach a broader audience

Develop strategies for improving our customer's dining experience

Ensure proper stock levels for all restaurant supplies such as serviettes and packaging materials

Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices

Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations

Work with the head chef to maintain high quality food standards

Ensure the team maintains high levels of cleanliness and hygiene both

in the restaurant and personal

Is consistently well groomed and neat and maintain clean and tidy working stations areas

Contribute towards the achievement of organization KPIs with an objective of hitting and surpassing target

Perform other duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field with at least 3 years' experience in a similar role.

Must be computer literate with excellent reporting skills

Extensive knowledge and experience in Food and Beverage service.

Highly conversant with HACCP regulations as well as safety policies

Knowledge in planning, budgeting, forecasting and management of costs

Be conversant with advanced principles of food and beverage management, revenue management and cost control

People Management skills

Good verbal and written skills

Familiarity with hospitality software systems.

Acute financial management skills
