ASIGMA is a group of three subsidiaries – Advisory, Data, and Capital that leverages data and technology to add value to organisations. Its Advisory arm offers investment advice, develops investable business cases, and provides Private Sector support and Technical Assistance; some of our development clients include USAID, DFID, AfDB, and WBG IFC. Its Capital arm is currently managing projects in alternative investments (Private Equity, Real Estate, and Energy) that include Manufacturing and Shallow Geothermal Exploration, among others. Lastly, its Data arm aids the Advisory and Capital arms through digital data capture and analytics, market research, and insights to allow for actionable decision making but also provides project and data management services to external clientele.
We are looking for Business Analysts to increase the operational efficiency of our clients using technology-enabled and process and data and financial analysis. The successful candidate will provide support to the Business Strategy and Investment Teams across the three arms of ASIGMA – Advisory, Data, and Capital. This is a full-time position.
Essential Functions
Perform process mapping field visits to each of the selected enterprises
Monitor and analyse data collected from enterprises
Write reports communicating key insights, performance, and other key trends for clients based on data.
Support business owners during strategic discussions and recommendations for process improvements with the objective of improving business profitability
Organise and facilitate coaching meetings, to show detailed outcomes, and strategies to be
recommended
Document reports that demonstrate progress and key performance milestones related to the coaching of all the enterprises, improvement in business management, reporting of expected results, and the number of beneficiaries reached.
Lead trainings of client staff on the data analysis process
Lead a team of two (2) junior analysts on the same project
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate with a second-class degree and above in Engineering, Statistics, Quantitative Economics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Economics, Commerce and Mathematical Sciences.
2 to 3 years relevant working experience in providing audit or consulting services to businesses
Interest in data analytics, business strategy, and investment research.
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and/or SQL.
Strong, pro-active communication skills.
Displays a high level of energy and personal commitment to teamwork.
Able to take on tasks outside of academic specialties.
Experience in supporting agribusinesses is preferred.
