Anti-corruption Coalition Driver Jobs in Uganda

The Anti Corruption Coalition of Uganda (ACCU) is the apex civil society Anti-corruption body which brings together various Civil Society organizations, individuals and other key stakeholders in the fight against corruption in Uganda.

Driver

Duty Station: Kampala

ACCU is seeking to recruit a driver with the following responsibilities;

• Provide transport to people and products from one station to another.

• Assumes responsibility for care and maintenance of the vehicle; washes and cleans interior; takes vehicle to garage for maintenance and repair in cooperation with the administrator and other staff.

• Ensure that all duties allocated are well understood, carried out and completed.

• Ensure that he performs all routine and special tasks and that they are completed according to the agreed standards.

• Adhere to route schedules at all times.

• Report any infringement to the vehicle in the line of duty made by self or others.

• Complete the vehicle log books, the amount of fuel consumed, repairs made and the mileage and periodically report the information as required.

• Abide by all laws regarding the use of vehicles on public roads.

• Pay all fines and dues caused by personal negligence.

• Perform any other duties as may be

required from time to time by your supervisor(s) and the Executive director.

Relevant Skills and Experience needed;

• The applicant should have at least a Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education, any other qualification will be an added advantage.

• Five years’ experience of driving both manual and automatic vehicles.

• Knowledge of basic automotive maintenance procedures.

• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

• The applicant must possess a valid driver’s license issued by the Uganda issuing authority.
