Typical expectations:

• The safe and effective discovery of new mineral endowment through identification of superior value deposits

• The delivery of a step-change in our operational geoscience effectiveness - through application of various discovery and geoscience skills and knowledge in the characterisation of endowment

• Lead a high-performance, innovative team focused on discovering superior value sediment-hosted copper resources in Zambia by:

• Providing excellent leadership to enable a highly collaborative and technically innovative discovery team focused on achieving breakthrough discovery

• Leading the identification and evaluation of new frontier districts with potential for high-value mineral discoveries

• Ensuring a strong focus on safety and maintaining the company's continued licence to operate

• Forming and cultivating productive links with prospective and current joint venture partners

• The incumbent is required to have a thorough understanding of the sediment-hosted copper "mineral system as applied to exploration and a track record of leading successful discovery teams

• Deep understanding of the use of mineral systems in discovery

Qualifications and experience

• An undergraduate qualification (Bachelor's degree) in Geosciences

• A postgraduate qualification (Masters / Doctoral degree or equivalent) in Geoscience

• Sound technical experience in geoscience and discovery

• High level understanding of Geosciences (geology, geochemistry, geophysics, structural)
i) Exploration tools, techniques and methods (computer modelling, geophysics, geochemistry)
ii) Spatial analysis of geological data sets
iii)Mineral systems and mineral deposit geology

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in mineral exploration across multiple deposit styles

• Demonstrated experience in community and government relations issues

• Experierce in managing diverse teams

• Knowledge of general management practices in an applied technical environment: finance (budget, accounting, governance), SHE (systems management and application, practical procedures, leadership), people management

• Cross-commodity & cross-discipline experience
