Job DescriptionAs a Foreman Mechanical, you will support the achievement of the operation plant and ensure the reduction of costs caused by incidents.
Your daily duties will include planning and coordinating daily, weekly, and monthly requirements and priorities with the operational team related to all planned and related work.
As part of your role, you will liaise and communicate effectively with other foreman to ensure that any problem that could overlap with other sections are proactively identified and discussed.
You will oversee that all work practices are executed in compliance with legal requirements and provide continuous feedback to the section regarding the performance efficiencies, standards of the section labour, equipment, budget and process targets.
Other Duties include
Ensure availability of the fleet is managed according to mine AS&R standard
Analyze data provided and develop tactics to ensure effective maintenance on all fleet
Ensure availability for afterhours and standby duties
You will be required to investigate all incidents or damages in your section
Understand work management philosophy and apply it to all areas
Implement all safety requirement and ensure all safety communication and procedure are discussed with the team
Ensure proper management of all asset and comply to legal requirements
Management of budget
This role is in the Engineering department at a C5 level reporting to the Section Engineer.
Qualifications
Grade 12 or equivalent
Diesel Mechanic or Auto Electrician Trade Certificate
Anglo American Foreman Certificate
Experience
Five years post trade qualified experience
Supervisory experience (advantageous)
Additional information
Computer literacy
SAP knowledge (advantageous)
Valid driver’s license - Code 08
