Purpose of the RoleThe project Officer will contribute for the development of National network of domestic workers Association through office establishment, organize fund raising events, develop association strategic plan and project management plan
The position holder will play a major role in project implementation, periodic data collection and analysis, devise mechanisms and lead the process for effective dissemination, utilization and documentation of learning at network level.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Ground Work
Facilitate National network of domestic workers Association office establishment in consultation with Addis Ababa city administration, CVM and CETU.
Facilitate office establishment materials procurement process.
Support the chairwomen and animators in increasing membership for Addis Ababa Domestic Workers association as well as the national network.
Support social worker and animators in organizing quarter review meeting of association members.
Income Genaration
Manage, support and develop imaginative fundraising activities, some of which will be events-based.
Inspire new supporters to raise money, while maintaining and developing relationships with existing supporters
Develop and coordinate web-based fundraising including social media
Strategic Generation
Develop Addis Ababa domestic workers Association and national network strategic plan
Maintain and update the fundraising and communications budgets
Develop and
update a strategic plan to guide fundraising activities and revenue generation
Work in conjunction with the network chairwoman and social worker to have a good overall understanding of all revenue streams
Job Requirements
Education
BSc/BA/MSc/MA in Sociology, Social Work, Management and related disciplines with minimum 2 years work for BSc/BA holders.
Experience in women and domestic workers related project
Experience/knowledge of fundraising
Experience of a wide range of communication methods including social media
Personal Attributes
Ability to plan and manage own time and work load
Ability to set and work to goals and targets
A flexible and strategic mindset
Computer literate like Ms Word, Ms excel, Ms. Access.
Ability to work with a wide range of people including volunteers
