Position Summary
Overall, the role provides a comprehensive approach in transitioning of various learning materials to electronic and mobile learning as well as monitoring and evaluation to ensure quality improvement and facilitate decision making in line with the goals and objectives of Amref Health Africa corporate strategy 2018-2022.
The role is responsible for engaging with internal and external stakeholders regionally and
globally (Kenya, Malawi, Ethiopia, South Africa, Tanzania and some Asian countries) to formulate
strategies for development, training and assessment of content; mentorship and disseminating knowledge and information.
Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder engagement with internal and external stakeholders, including Ministries
of Health, private sector and Project Managers from various Amref Health Africa country offices, to strategise for and create mobile learning content which will enable them to meet their organizational objectives.
Mapping and development of curricula for different trainings as per partners’ need.
Conduct research and engage with key collaborators and Subject Matter Experts for
curriculum adaptation and refinement processes.
Create, and adhere to, a content calendar to ensure that all content is developed
and delivered on time.
Plan, oversee and participate in content development and curriculum adaptation
workshops as well as related trainings such as content pre-testing workshops.
Manage a team of outsourced content providers such as Subject Matter Experts to identify the target audience’s training needs and write content suited for distance learners;
Collaborating with design teams to plan and develop website content,style
and layout;
Liaising with studios to record audio files for the learning content and working with translators to translate the content from English to Swahili and other languages as may be required so as to meet various setting expectations.
Proofread and edit written content to enhance quality such as proper grammar and flow of content logic.
Oversee and participate in creation of engaging learning activities and compelling
course content such as animations, illustrations, videos, ramifications, Interactive
Voice Recordings and voice overs for visual learning material.
Course authoring by converting developed storyboards and Distance
Education content into Learning and managing it using Content Management
Systems such as Lectora and Helium.
Publish Learning content through Learning Management Systems such as Helium
and Moodle.
Them Learning content is developed in both basic and smart mode and in English, Swahili and other languages as may be demanded by clients across implementation countries.
Oversee,and participate in,the test in grand refinement of training curricula.
Continuous research and staying abreast of current learning practices and approaches.
Carrying out content readiness assessment of projects and countries.
Continuous review and update of deployed electronic and mobile learning content in
line with revised curricula provided by
Ministries of Health, experts, clients and partners.
Collect and analyze learning needs gathered from various stake holders to act as a
baseline for content development.
Supporting our partners in documenting their work in regard to the content
development process.
Gather user feed back from evaluations,analyze the findings and refine the curricula if
and when needed; including feedback from trainings.
Monitor,mentor, and support learners going through mobile learning and mobile
data reporting.
Supporting the partners in conducting operations research.
Establish measures of success, monitor and evaluate user feedback to ensure high
quality standards and continuous improvement.
This may also include processes
associated with user generated content such as user surveys.
Write and disseminate reports for content and curricula work shops as well as training
reports and reports for digital channels (website and social media).
Develop budgets and ensure implemented activities are within the budgets.
Guide & supervise staff (Repartee’s) where applicable
Ensure project resources are prudently utilized and are accounted for.
Providing technical advice to support partners develop procurement plans.
Provide insights,contributions,and partnerships in the administrative and operational functions of Amref Enterprises Limited.
Program Development Support in proposals, abstracts and concept notes development.
Participate in internal and external meetings and workshops to promote various
Amref Enterprises Limited projects
Qualifications
University degree in Education, Public Health or related discipline(s) from an accredited institution
Minimum (5) five years of experience in training, course management, content development,
product delivery and support for large or strategic customer segments.
