It is located along Langata Road (opposite Wilson Airport), Nairobi, Kenya.

AMIU invites applications for the following position in the University:

Job Title:

  • Tutorial Fellow – Environmental Health

  • Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic Affairs

    Job Description

    The holder of the job will participate in curriculum development and delivery in psychotherapy.

    Further, the holder will develop, fundraise and implement research and extension activities.

    Main Duties and Key Responsibilities

  • Participating in the development of curricula in environmental health
  • Support accreditation and implementation of courses as per CUE guidelines
  • Teach and supervise students
  • Develop and carry out research studies
  • Form and manage partnerships for advancing environmental health
  • Coordinating field practicum
  • Mobilize resources to ensure sustainability of courses in environmental health

    Academic Requirements
  • Masters in
    Environmental health or related field from a recognized university
  • Registered with relevant professional body

    Work Experience
  • Teaching experience in a recognized university level or research/industry
  • Participated in curriculum development
  • Knowledge of CUE regulations
  • Knowledge and experience in academic or industry settings

    Qualities and Competencies
  • Knowledge, skills and attitude of an ethical environmental health practitioner
  • Excellent academic writing and language skills
  • Professional student-centric approach to learning
  • Commitment to quality, teaching, assessment and research.
  • ODEL methodologies of curriculum delivery
  • Ability to work independently
  • Team player
  • Leadership capabilities
  • A strategic and critical thinker with ability to generate and grow new ideas
  • Computer proficiency
