Amref Health Africa in Kenya is currently seeking experienced, dynamic and qualified person for an anticipated funding by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to fill the position of Chief of Party.


Amref Health Africa in Kenya Chief of Party – Ref: Amref/USAID-TB-CoP/001-2018 Vacancies

Overall project strategy leadership and management oversight, operations and supervision of project implementation and ensure the project meets goals and reporting requirements.

The incumbent will take a leadership role in coordination among USAID and key stakeholders and other implementing partners. High level of liaison with senior Government of Kenya institutions and senior level county and sub county-level government officials.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of Masters-level degree in public health, health administration, management, international health, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of project management experience in large, health sector development programs that have implemented successful activities.
  • Demonstrated outstanding leadership, strategic thinking, and organizational, team- building and representational skills.
  • A clear track record of leading projects of similar complexity and magnitude to the one being procured
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with senior-level Government of Kenya officials, USAID, NGOs, private sector groups, cooperating agencies, and donor organizations.

    Amref Health Africa in Kenya Deputy Chief of Party / Senior Technical Advisor – Ref: Amref/ USAID-TB-DCoP & STA/002-2018 Vacancies

    Deputize Chief of Party and responsible for the overall technical oversight of the project and specifically responsible for project implementation that relates to facility and community level service delivery.

    Will take leadership role in ensuring technical implementation and coordinate with other technical leads, key stakeholders, other USG implementing partners, and Government of Kenya, particularly at the county-level.

    Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of Medical degree and a Master’s Degree in public health or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of project management experience in large, health sector development programs that have implemented successful activities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in all aspects of TB and TB-HIV/AIDS.
  • A clear track record in provision of technical assistance of similar complexity and magnitude to the one being procured
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with senior-level Government of Kenya officials, USAID, NGOs, private sector groups, cooperating agencies, and donor organizations.
